The brothers Bruno (Double Bass) and Diederik (Viola) released their first recording DUOBASSO in 2011. It includes music from the “classical” period such as Beethoven, Dittersdorf, Barrière and Rossini. DUOBASSO2 became the next logical step. This recording includes works by 20th century composers. In addition to original works, the duo also ventured into own transcriptions of works by Piazzolla, Lutoslawski and Dowland. In these transcripts is also the “Scherzo” of Arie Van de Moortel (for viola and cello) whose handwriting was accidentally found. The duet “Tandem”, written by Richard Dubugnon has been dedicated to the brothers Suys. This recording was made in July 2012 and is available for download on the main download websites.
