Bruno Suys studied the double bass with Frank Coppieters at the KMC of his native city Ghent (Belgium) and joined masterclasses with Prof. Evgeniy Kolossov.

He was a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra and won a 2nd Price at the Geneva Competition.

Bruno is Principal Double Bass Player of the Frankfurter Opern- und Museumsorchester and teaches the double bass at the Dr. Hoch's Konservatorium in Frankfurt am Main.

Besides chamber music (Ensemble Modern, UT3-Records...), he's also playing the musical saw.
